Piaget Unveils “Shapes of Extraleganza” High Jewellery Watch Collection

A bold fusion of time, art, and colour in Piaget’s 2025 masterpieces

When jewellery and watchmaking dare to dance with design and art, something extraordinary is born. Piaget’s latest High Jewellery collection, Shapes of Extraleganza, is exactly that, an audacious celebration of form, color, and playful sophistication that redefines what it means to wear time.

Following the 2023 release of Essence of Extraleganza, this new chapter pushes boundaries even further. The Maison dives deep into its artistic roots from the 1960s and 70s, a time of bold experimentation, cultural revolution, and explosive creativity. The result is a collection of 51 high jewellery creations (many of them watches!) that channel the spirit of icons like Salvador Dalí, Andy Warhol, and Yves Piaget’s original circle — the legendary Piaget Society.

Wearable Art with a Pulse

Each piece in Shapes of Extraleganza is a sculptural statement. Think pop art mosaics, psychedelic curves, zigzags, and geometric shapes — all crafted in vibrant ornamental stones like sugilite, rhodochrosite, and verdite. Piaget’s signature fusion of Haute Horlogerie and High Jewellery is fully displayed, with timepieces seamlessly embedded into rings, cuffs, and necklaces.

From the mesmerizing Joyful Twirls cuff watches with ultra-thin movements and pavé-set gemstones, to the Curved Artistry ring hiding a secret dial under a translucent aquamarine, each creation is playful, elegant, and proudly unconventional.

A Tribute to Opulence and Opals

The Flowing Curves suite deserves special mention. It was inspired by the 1970s back-to-nature movement and Piaget’s long-standing love for opals. Black opals, set in hand-hammered white gold, shimmer like lightning trapped in stone. This contrast is raw, organic, to the pop-art brightness of the Kaleidoscope Lights suite, where stones are sliced into precise stripes for an Op Art-inspired look.

Beyond the Wrist: Art in Motion

In a stunning finale, Piaget introduces Endless Motion, a mobile table clock co-created with French sculptor Alex Palenski. It’s a kinetic artwork that brings Piaget’s free-spirited ethos to life, marrying horology with contemporary sculpture in a hypnotic play of color, light, and movement.

Why It Matters to Us

At Ladies Watch Club, we love it when brands take risks , especially when it involves turning watches into art. Piaget’s Shapes of Extraleganza isn’t just a collection; it’s a manifesto. A reminder that watches can be more than precision tools, they can be cultural symbols, design objects, and yes, joyful expressions of personal style.

This is jewellery and horology for the bold. And we’re here for every unexpected twist and radiant curve.
